Modern Slavery Act Statement
RAPD Services Ltd. Financial year ending 31 December 2024.
Introduction
This statement is made by RAPD Services Ltd in accordance with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps we have taken during the financial year ending 31 December 2024 to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or our supply chain.
RAPD Services Ltd is a quality assurance and testing consultancy registered in England and Wales. We provide QA advisory, testing and resource services to clients primarily in the FinTech and financial services sectors. We operate from our UK office in London and through our delivery capability in Hyderabad, India.
Our structure and supply chain
RAPD is a small, founder-led business. The majority of our work is delivered directly by our own team rather than through extensive third-party supply chains. Where we engage external contractors or specialists, we do so on a selective basis and we take responsibility for understanding who we are working with.
Our supply chain includes professional services providers, software tool vendors and IT infrastructure providers. These relationships are primarily with established UK and India-based businesses operating in regulated commercial environments.
We do not operate in sectors that are commonly associated with elevated modern slavery risk, such as manufacturing, agriculture or hospitality. Nonetheless, we take our obligations seriously and apply appropriate diligence to the relationships we maintain.
Our policies
RAPD is committed to conducting business ethically and with integrity. We do not tolerate any form of modern slavery, forced labour or human trafficking in our business or in the businesses we work with.
All individuals who work with RAPD, whether as employees, contractors or associates, are engaged on fair and transparent terms. Remuneration is agreed openly, payment is made in full and on time, and no individual is subject to unreasonable or unlawful conditions of work.
We expect the same standards from any supplier or partner we work with. Where we identify concerns about the conduct of a supplier, we will raise those concerns directly and, where necessary, end the relationship.
Due diligence
Given the nature and scale of our business, our due diligence approach is proportionate. We carry out background checks on contractors and associates before engagement. We verify that individuals we work with are legally permitted to work in the relevant jurisdiction and that they are not subject to coercion or exploitation.
For our India-based operations, we apply the same standards of fair treatment that we apply in the UK. Our India delivery capability is managed directly by RAPD rather than through a third-party intermediary, which gives us direct visibility of working conditions and engagement terms.
We review our supplier relationships periodically and will update our approach as our business grows and as guidance on best practice develops.
Training and awareness
All members of the RAPD team are made aware of their responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act and the importance of identifying and reporting any concerns. As a small business, this awareness is maintained through direct communication and is embedded in how we operate rather than through formal training programmes alone.
Anyone working with RAPD who has concerns about potential modern slavery in our business or supply chain is encouraged to raise those concerns immediately with the company director. We will take all such concerns seriously and investigate promptly.
Our commitment going forward
We will continue to review and improve our approach as the business develops. As we engage new suppliers and expand our delivery capability, we will apply appropriate scrutiny to ensure that our supply chain meets the standards we hold ourselves to.
This statement has been approved by the director of RAPD Services Ltd and will be reviewed annually.
